- Age at least 35 years
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the quality department of the knit garments industry.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control methods, textile testing standards, and garment manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) is advantageous.
Responsibilities & Context
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product quality and product safety meets customer expectations and international standards.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure that garments meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Monitor production processes, conduct quality checks, implement Technical Corrective Action Plans (CAP), review technical CAPs, arrange technical training, and address deviations or issues.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all sections as per requirements.
- Coordinate with quality technical audit and all health and product safety requirement’s industry and international buyer standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices to protect employees and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor production costs and expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Analyze production budgets, track expenditures, and report on variances.
- Continuously evaluate production processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Introduce and implement best practices, lean manufacturing principles, and new technologies to enhance production efficiency and competitiveness.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team to conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests throughout the production process.
- Analyze production data and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, merchandising, and sourcing teams to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Train and educate production staff on quality standards, processes, and techniques to maintain consistent quality levels.
- Maintain quality and technical requirements with customer requirements regarding quality and safety.
- Maintain quality technical guideline with health, product safety, and environmental requirements in the production area.
- The candidate must have strong knowledge about Yarn Dyeing, Dyeing, Washing, Knitting, Printing, Embroidery and Knit Fabric quality.
- Any other tasks assigned by the management from time to time.
