Responsibilities & Context

Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort is a magnificent new-generation business class hotel ideally located on Airport Road. This prestigious Hotel is looking for young personnel for the following position to build as a future industry leader:

Position Overview: As the Executive Chef of our prestigious 5-star property, need to lead our culinary team with a wealth of experience gained from renowned international chain hotels. This role requires exceptional culinary expertise, visionary leadership and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of gastronomic excellence, innovation and guest satisfaction.

Reporting To: Director, Food & Beverage

Job Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Vision and Leadership: Develop and execute a culinary vision that reflects global influences while aligning with the property’s brand standards and guest preferences.
  • Menu Development and Innovation: Conceptualize and create innovative menus that showcase international culinary trends, regional flavors and seasonal ingredients.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, quality control, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Implement efficient workflows, standardized recipes, performance metrics to optimize productivity and consistency.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Train & mentor a team of culinary professionals, nurturing talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to elevate the skills and capabilities of the kitchen brigade.
  • Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance: Maintain uncompromising standards for food quality, presentation and taste across all outlets. Conduct regular inspections, tasting sessions and audits to ensure compliance with brand standards, health regulations and HACCP guidelines.
  • Cost Management and Financial Performance: Develop and manage budgets, food costing and inventory control systems to optimize profitability while delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement and operational efficiencies without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
  • Supplier and Vendor Relations: Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors to source the finest quality ingredients, specialty products and seasonal produce from around the world. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing agreements and exclusive partnerships to support menu innovation and cost-effective procurement.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement: Collaborate closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations. Solicit feedback, respond to guest inquiries and proactively address any culinary-related concerns or special requests.
  • Special Events and Catering: Plan and execute special events, themed dinners, and culinary promotions to enhance the property’s reputation and drive revenue. Work closely with banquet and catering teams to create bespoke menus and memorable dining experiences for private events and celebrations. Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
  • Industry Trends and Professional Development: Stay abreast of emerging culinary trends, market developments and industry best practices. Attend culinary seminars, workshops, conferences to expand your knowledge, network with peers and elevate the property’s culinary offerings to new heights.
