Responsibilities & Context

Eco Social Development Organization (ESDO), a national NGO, aims to enhance the capacity of and opportunities for poor women, men, and children to reduce multidimensional poverty through service delivery and a rights-based approach. ESDO works in 52 districts and supports more than 12 million poor women, men, and children to achieve their civil, political, economic, and social rights and to improve their security and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate should have extensive experience implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools.
  • S/he should be adept at developing data collection tools and guiding the monitoring of project activities, outputs, and progress toward anticipated results.
  • S/he should also be comfortable working with data platforms, databases, and select technologies to capture and organize data.
  • As the Head of MEL, you will be responsible for Supporting the Executive Director in strategic decisions and assessments, guiding the Program and M&E team, supporting projects, program clusters, and organizations in strengthening their M&E systems, designing and developing reporting formats, Leading the Change Management and Evaluation Process, Implementing M&E policy and strategies, and Promoting organizational learning and knowledge sharing.
  • The position is based in Dhaka, but at least 50% of the time will be spent traveling outside Dhaka to a remote location in Bangladesh.
