Responsibilities & Context
Leadership: Lead and mentor a sub-team of SQA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team’s success. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define testing strategies, goals, and objectives.
Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans based on product requirements and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and contribute to overall project planning.
Test Execution: Oversee and actively participate in test execution, including functional, regression, performance, and automation testing. Ensure that testing activities are completed within project timelines and meet quality standards.
Automation: Drive the development and implementation of automated testing processes to increase efficiency and test coverage. Evaluate and select appropriate tools and frameworks for test automation.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to identify areas for improvement in both processes and product quality. Implement and enforce best practices for QA processes and methodologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to understand system architecture and product specifications. Foster a collaborative environment to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Data Integrity Testing: Conduct required in-depth testing of expected data integrity in various parts of the internal system. Solid knowledge of SQL and No-SQL database queries, along with scripting capabilities to conduct these tests effectively.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the application’s stability, responsiveness, and scalability under various conditions.
Security Testing: Participate in security testing efforts to ensure the security and integrity of software products and data. Keep a hacker’s mindset to find loopholes in implementation and help fix security issues within the software and services.
Reporting: Generate and communicate test reports, including defect tracking, test coverage, and overall project quality status. Provide clear and concise reports of testing processes and results in the issue tracking system.
Quality Assurance Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance, and implement these practices to enhance the overall testing process.
