Job Context:

As the Knit Products Fashion Designer Team Lead, you will oversee the creative and technical aspects of knitwear design within the fashion design department. You will lead a team of designers, ensuring the creation of innovative, high-quality knitwear collections that align with the brand’s aesthetic and market trends. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive the team’s success and contribute to the brand’s growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of knitwear designers.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Provide regular feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.

Design and Development:

• Oversee the conceptualization and design of knitwear collections.
• Ensure designs align with the brand’s identity and market trends.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure feasibility and quality of designs.

Trend Analysis and Research:

• Conduct market research and analyze fashion trends to inform design decisions.
• Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and other industry events to stay updated on current trends.

Technical Expertise:

• Utilize advanced knitwear design techniques and software.
• Oversee the creation of detailed technical sketches, patterns, and specifications.
• Ensure the technical accuracy and quality of all knitwear products.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other departments, including marketing, production, and sales, to ensure cohesive product development.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and quality production.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all knitwear products meet the brand’s quality standards.
• Implement quality control processes and address any issues that arise.
