Project title: “Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population to the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh”.
Job Context
POLLISREE is a well reputed national NGO started its work in 1987 and working in 7 Districts of Bangladesh. POLLISREE to implement the “Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population to the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh”project in Birol&KaharolunderDinajpur District and Domar&DimlaUpazila under Nilphamari District which is funded by NETZ-Bangladesh. The project contributes to overcome extreme poverty& hunger (SDG-1& 2) and to reducing the vulnerability to the adverse consequences of climate change (SDG-13).For smooth implement the project POLLISREE is seeking the qualified staffs according to the following conditions.
Responsibilities:
- In each case, in a sub-district: coordinate civil society organization(CSO) members selection and CSO formation
- Attend CSO meetings; organize and participate in dialogue meetings between CSOs and government agencies
- Accompany and monitor climate change activities in secondary schools
- Communicate with government agencies
- Support and follow up on requests under the Access to Information (ATI) Act; coordinate public events
- Ensure pandemic-related safeguards at meetings and events.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual report stating major findings and observations and submit to the respective authority.
- Ensure the policy of financial guideline for procurement of materials and equipment needed for project implementation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual report stating major findings and observations and submit to the respective authority.
- Provide accompaniment support to make the team members more confident in order to facilitate different events at community level.
- Support the team members to facilitate the self- monitoring process at community level like joint review, grading, socio-economic observatory etc.
