Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The role is responsible for tabulating the total amount, receiving the payment and issuing receipt, refund, credit or requisite change to the customer in a timely manner. Additionally, the role contributes to the sales during peak / rush hours.

Job Responsibilities:

Commercial: Customer Management

Greet customers, including answering phone calls & directing customer inquiries to appropriate party Answer routine billing questions/issues from customers, take assistance of BOS and / or store manager whenever required Resolve escalated issues with angry customers, coordinate with store staff as & when required.

Process Outcome:

Superlative customer Service

Effective issue resolution

Commercial: Payment Processing & Billing

Examine products being purchased for damages and price accuracy, coordinate with retail staff for product inquiries and price checks

Receive and process all payments according to standard procedure, take assistance of BOS and / or store manager whenever required

Scan products, operate scanning equipment, fix scanning issues whenever required

Process credit and debit cards for payments, help customers use processing equipment properly

Count money back to customer in an accurate and concise manner

Generate bills & payment receipts, ensuring due compliance, and hand them over to the customer

Process Outcome:

Accuracy of payment processing & billing

Minimum Possible time for billing process

Commercial: Sales Support

Inform customers about services & schemes available and assess customer needs

Provide a helping hand to store staff in sales during rush / peak hours

Commercial: Cashiering & Store Support

Assist in the opening and closing of a retail store which includes but isn’t limited to cash handling and deposits.

Assist in the maintenance of store front and retail displays

Reconcile revenue at the end of the day ensuring revenue equals receipts
