• Minimum 5 years of experience in fund and treasury management, preferably within the microfinance sector.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating with lenders to secure favorable borrowing terms.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, risk management principles, and investment strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Experience in managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fund & Treasury Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the efficient management of our loan portfolio. This person will play a pivotal role in minimising borrowing costs, maximising returns on our investments, and overseeing daily cash flows for our extensive network of field offices.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage borrowings from commercial banks and other lending institutions.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimise borrowing costs through effective negotiation with lenders.
• Lead a team of fund management professionals in raising funds, managing liquidity, and ensuring optimal cash flow.
• Monitor daily cash movements across our regional and field offices, ensuring efficient and compliant financial transactions.
• Explore and evaluate high-yielding short-term and long-term investment opportunities for idle cash.
• Ensure monthly accounting of all entries related to bank loan and investments into the system timely and accurately.
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports on fund management activities, liquidity position, and investment performance.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial projections for the microfinance programme.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to financial management and reporting.
• Maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
