Responsibilities & Context
RDRS Bangladesh is inviting application for the position of Finance & Admin officer under USAID Ain Shohayota Activity Project – Democracy International. This position will be based in Rangpur.
A. Responsibilities
- Document financial transactions by entering account information and secures financial information by completing data base backups.
- Maintain accounts and prepared guidelines for project monitoring.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping and accounting systems, in the recommended software complying with projects’ IMS and financial guideline.
- Appraise, evaluate, and maintain inventory of the real property and equipment, recording information such as the property’s description, value, and location.
- Facilitate the process of approval of bills & vouchers as per budget line items.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly financial reports at the proper time and proper way.
- Provide all sort of administrative support to Project Staff.
- Keep the office files in proper order and make updated filing systems in consultation with Project Focal.
- Maintain personnel files (filing, collection required documents from personnel’s).
B. Tasks

Financial Reporting
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Prepare periodic financial report in proper time and proper way.
- Prepare financial report as per recommend reporting system.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budget, prepare periodic financial reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Inform his/her Project Focal about financial matters in proper time through proper way.
C. Required Entry Qualifications and Competencies
Professionalism – A solid background in accounts and finance management and ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and be pro-active. Conscientious and efficient, observing deadlines and achieving results.
Communication – Analytical and communication (mainly written) skills, including ability to summarize and clearly present accounting and financial issues.
Teamwork–Strong ability to work in a team and be supportive to others’ efforts and work.
