Responsibilities & Context
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and supplies.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and production capabilities.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing of supply contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production and inventory teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize holding costs and avoid production delays.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets and expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement costs.
- Work closely with the production, quality control, and finance departments to align procurement activities with overall company goals.
