Responsibilities & Context

  • Managing the company supply chain by sourcing, reviewing, and purchasing commodities.
  • Updating inventory strategies to increase sales and manage stock quantities.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and recommending new vendors to management.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with commodity distributors and buyers.
  • Studying market trends and identifying risks when sourcing and procuring commodities.
  • Supervising department personnel when they prepare contracts and purchase orders.
  • Resolving vendor disputes and any commodity-related issues.8.    Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization.
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity.
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives.
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
  • Manage the procurement process for all departments.
  • Develop strategies for acquiring the best vendors.
  • Maintain inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and products16.  Compile reports for management use.
  • Organize, manage, and oversee facility maintenance.
  • Manage staff, ensuring they are trained and proficient in their respective positions.
  • Develop, execute, and communicate a strategy to drive the overall profitability waterfall of assigned commodities, reviewing volume vs.
  • Conduct commodity and industry trend analysis to show future trends for the assigned commodities as related to cost drivers, new technologies.
  • Provide commodity expertise for travel related commodities.
  • Drive value by implementing strategic sourcing and entering into cost efficient agreements that fulfil supply requirements within the assigned commodities.
  • Drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, collaboration and integration and deliver improved results with key suppliers within assigned commodities.
  • Develop and implement approved strategies for assigned commodities that actively search for performance improvement and cost reduction opportunities by understanding customer needs, supply market trends and innovation.
  • Manage the total lifecycle of a supplier contract, including submission to legal, expiration alerts, within the commodities assigned.
  • Conduct and follow up Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activities, budgeting, forecast and actual, and annual price negotiations any other initiatives for assigned commodities.
  • Developing, implementing and driving strategic engagement strategies.
  • Identify and drive innovation and productivity savings with the suppliers, IE.
