Responsibilities & Context
- Costing SMV : Determine product overhead cost for selected articles.
- Time Study and SMV Preparation: Conduct a time study, prepare full article process-wise SMV, and layout paper mentioning required manpower and target production per hour in optimum efficiency.
- Line Balancing: Ensure proper work distribution among workers, solve bottleneck points for smooth production, and set line-wise targets as per optimum capacity.
- Efficiency Reporting: Prepare line-wise daily efficiency reports for performance evaluation and loss time reports identifying root causes of production loss.
- Capacity Planning: Prepare monthly capacity planning against freezing quantity, ensure freezing production completion with calculated manpower within prescribed timeline and overtime.
- Skill Testing: Conduct skill tests for new workers to evaluate their performance and determine their grade.
- Review Meetings: Conduct weekly/monthly review meetings on productivity, efficiency, loss time, and other relevant issues to increase awareness on the production floor for further improvement.
