2-3 working experience in water and sanitation sector

Working experience with NGO, Development Agency in WASH response. Working in Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response Program;

Proven experience with solar systems and generator power backup, particularly in the context of water supply systems at Rohingya Refugees Camp;

Responsibilities & Context

Prepare and review designs, drawings, and BoQs for the implementation and rehabilitation of various water facilities, including tube wells and water distribution networks, Solar systems in Rohingya Camp context;

Assist technical support for production borehole drilling, including preparing bore log reports, geophysical logging, and utilizing water loggers;

Create detailed designs and plans for solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and other related components;

Provide technical support and guidance during installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems;

Provide technical guidance to evaluate the performance, efficiency, and reliability of generator systems, identify issues and implement solutions;

Supervise Water Supply Technicians (Solar, Generator & plumber) and associates staff to ensure the effective performance of their duties;

Monitor and ensure the quality and quantity of construction materials for water supply facilities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and designs;

Ensure regular operation and maintenance of all water supply units, including solar and generator systems;

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all field activities, construction materials, and equipment status;

Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports as required by the program;

Raise purchase requisitions based on field assessments to ensure smooth program operations and maintain effective supply chain management;

Assist the Project Engineer-Water Supply in overall project planning, design, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring;

Enforce safety and security procedures, work independently, solve technical problems, and collaborate with other electricians to complete tasks efficiently and safely;
