Responsibilities & Context
1. Knowing the working procedures of the section (SOP, Flow Chart, Quality Policy) and update all team on the same.
2. Knowing the daily production plan and working as a team to implement the daily production plan according to the instructions.
3. Knowing about specific orders, styles, buyers and related quality standards and informing all the team about those.
4. Collect advance information of machine & spares requirement for sewing lines and make coordination with TSD for ensuring machines and spares like folders/guides/etc. for ensuring acceptable first hour hit rate & QCO.
5. Machine lay-out according to style and work on line balancing for ensuring acceptable first hour hit rate & QCO.
6. Allocating workers as per machine layout in a view of highest optimization of manpower.
7. Monitoring MMR and ensuring regular attendance in morning and after lunch and absence of unauthorized persons through supervisors and reporting to Admin & HR department.
8. Clearly define the responsibilities of floor supervisors and workers.
9. Collect PP meeting comments and recommendations to brief all team before bulk production of each order and keep records.
10. At the time of starting the work, check whether the machine is well cleaned, whether oil is coming to the needle point, whether the needle tension is correct, whether all the safety devices are properly fitted, whether the switch is good, whether the wire is torn, etc. If there is a problem, take necessary steps to fix it and start production quickly.
11. Monitoring whether inputs and accessories are collected and supplied to the line on time. Checking input reports.
12. Checking whether the parts are joined according to the bundle and number sticker.
13. Monitoring whether quality production is being done as per sample and following quality guidelines; as well as ensure RFT.
14. Ensuring that all altered garments are rectified and all rejected garments are stored separately.
15. Keeping hourly and daily production accounts and providing them regularly to concerned departments.
16. Keeping all organic garments, cut-pieces, and fabrics separate during organic garment production, monitoring whether production accounts and cleaning records of organic garments are kept in separate registers and reports.
17. Ensuring compliance with the Sharp tools, Matel, Broken, Lost, and Used Needle Policy; if any concern is raised.
18. Scissors, cutters, and other sharp tools must be tied and secured, issue all scissors, cutters, and other sharp tools in the register at the time of work, and at the end of the work, all the scissors, cutters, and other sharp tools must be entered in the register and locked and stored properly.
19. Ensure collection, issue, return, storage, and deposit of machine spares to the concerned department and keeping record.
20. Collecting, using, locking and storing labels as per cutting statement, depositing unused and discarded labels in store at the end of order. Similarly, after the order, thread and other unused and discarded accessories, body parts and garments are collected and submitted to the concerned department along with the account.
21. Optimize PD(Production Development) process to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce wastage of manpower, working hour and materials.
22. Providing necessary PPE (Mask, Goggles, etc.) to all team members and ensuring proper use of PPE and machine safety guards (pulley cover, belt cover, eye guard, finger guard) etc.
23. Ensure that machines, tables, trolleys and work areas are thoroughly cleaned and garbage is disposed of in designated areas/baskets at the time of daily starting of work and as per cleaning music or schedule.
24. Ensure that the machine is covered with a cover by switching off the switch during work breaks and at the end.
25. Ensuring timely and enthusiastic participation of all team members in the training programs as per the schedule.
26. Collectively determine and achieve departmental goals & target, efficiency rates, DHU rates, final inspection rates on monthly and yearly basis.
