Responsibilities & Context
As the Backend Team Lead, you will oversee a team of talented developers, ensuring successful project delivery and maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs using Laravel.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues in backend systems.
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to improve our backend infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and processes.
- Extensive experience with Laravel and PHP.
- Strong knowledge of database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Proficient in version control systems (Git).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, Vue.js, React).
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
