Responsibilities & Context

Effective support to the Programme development and operations for achieving set goals and targets-50%

  • The Programme Officer will serve as an integral part of the EEGP team. S/he will collaborate with the EEGP team to conceptualize, design, and develop livelihood projects that align with the organization’s mission and objectives. Key responsibilities:
  • Support the conceptualization, design, and development of livelihood projects in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the Projects Implementation plan development jointly with the project team, relevant stakeholders and department and timely and effectively to ensure sustainability of the project interventions beyond project end.
  • Assist to develop and implementation of strategic plan, analyzing needs, monitoring and evaluating implementation plan
  • Engaging with relevant staff on organizational advocacy issues, providing support for key strategic campaigns
  • Assist to ensure that effective linkages with Government and strategic networks are established and maintained to ensure influence at regional level
  • Participating for effective coordination between projects team, partners if any, network, alliance and department towards achieving objective of projects/program.
  • Assist to ensure capacity building support to project team, partners when required.
  • Provide assistance for development and implementation of quality and innovative programmes, which have sustainable, measurable impacts on the lives the extreme poor.
  • Participate in team meetings and strategic planning sessions, contributing insights and recommendations for programme development and enhancement.
  • Support developing project proposals, methodologies, and implementation strategies, leveraging expertise and best practices.

Communication, Reporting, and Documentation -30%

  • Enthusiastically work as part of the IR, B team by supporting senior colleagues from across the organization to achieve organizational outcomes.
  • Assist to ensure policies and strategies of IR, B are incorporated in our work as well as proposing, updating and implementing changes to existing policies and strategies within Bangladesh programme
  • Participate actively in team planning and other meetings, working to set common objectives and goals.
  • Work for ensuring the mainstreaming issues is addressed within livelihood projects ongoing activities.
  • Regular field visit and monitor the program activity (process and performance of activities)
  • Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the organization.
  • Prepare/compile progress reports (quantitative and qualitative) regular basis and tracking progress of project activities and keep record of Programme.
  • Work with the External relation and communication unit, implement an appropriate advocacy strategy for the project in consultation with project stakeholders.
  • Maintain communication with the team a clear and exciting vision for the projects
  • Support for staff development and capacity building
  • Assist other program livelihood initiatives planning, implementation, monitoring and staff development process
  • Work as an active team member for proposal development and budget preparation or any other financial part of proposal.
  • Assist to compliance all policies, rules and memo of IRB as well donor’s policies in accordance with project implementation.

Admin, Finance, procurement and other Support function-15%

  • Maintain admin related all activities
  • Maintain attendance, movement register, leave record and HRIS function
  • Maintain and support procurement related function and process
  • Undertake record-keeping system/documentation in line with IRB record management guidelines.
  • Support in reviewing financial reporting
  • Regular Financial Monitoring and transition to ensure value for money.
  • Facilitate external/internal audit.
  • Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery or money Laundering to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

  • Participate in sessional programs like winterization, Ramadan Program, Eid festival and Qurbani program etc.

  • Experience and lessons learned from the other organizations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as per program needs and organizational rules.
  • Support the community mobilization team.
  • Ensure visibility of the project.
  • Ensure the complaint response and feedback mechanism at the field level.
