Responsibilities & Context

To assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive Human Resource and communication services which enables Lepra Bangladesh to recruit, retain and motivate employees with the skills, knowledge and experience, and communication through various means and ways as necessary to meet its short and long-term objectives of Lepra Bangladesh (LB).

Human Resources (HR):

  • Maintaining and updating staff files on regular basis with necessary documents and information·
  • Managing and updating employee attendance and leave information·
  • Acting  as the HR focal person of the organization for managing all HR related tasks·
  • Ensuring compliance with HR-policy and manual by all staffs with regard to deal with HR issues.     ·
  • Interpreting and communicating basic safeguarding policies to staff, including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Bribery policy and other policy·
  • Ensuring Lepra’s Human Resource policies comply with appropriate legislation and enable the organization to recruit, retain and motivate employees with the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to meeting its objectives·
  • Coordinate personnel management matters on behalf of LB Management·
  • Ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and safe custody of staff’s records and personal data·
  • Ensuring project with fulfilled staff through interviewing and hiring new staffs·
  • He/she will be responsible for preparing job descriptions and charts of duties for each employee of this organization to ensure the highest level of efficiency under guidance of CD·
  • He/She will also be responsible for designing and developing the appropriate service rules, code of conduct; includes periodic reviews of the human resource manual under guidance of CD.·
  • Ensure employee onboarding/orientation, development, need assessment and training/capacity strengthening·
  • Support and guide for staff performance evaluation including setting up KPI jointly with Supervisor.·
  • Support to prepare annual training/orientation and staff development plan and their execution.·
  • Counseling Support for team building and employee relations, especially by assisting in the prevention of problems by forward planning and alerting senior management, as necessary, of any difficulties affecting staffs·
  • Coordinate and handle the grievance and disciplinary issues smoothly as per LB Policy.·
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day support to supervisor for line management of the HR·
  • Assist with the development and to monitor Lepra Bangladesh equal opportunities policy·
  • Establish an appropriate interpersonal communication and create supporting environment within organization.

    Communication:

  • Comply with and facilitate LB team on Lepra Communication policy and strategy.·
  • Ensure all types of communication, presentation, organizational representation, identity, and using logo, brand, etc. in compliance with Lepra UK standards and guidelines ·
  • Manage Organization’s social media communications and face different types media for PR and representation of LB under the guidance of the CD.·
  • Write, edit, and distribute various types of content, including materials for Lepra Bangladesh website, press releases, talk shows, case stories, and newsletter·
  • Take lead role for event management like retreat, staff development workshops or any other campaign·
  • Maintain good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and partners·
  • Provide guidelines to the program staff for any type of communication materials like logos, banners, publications, and other IEC materials·
  • Assist in planning and implementing new communication initiatives·
  • Work closely with CD and the team to develop communication strategy of LB.·
  • Support in communication material development for fundraising, image building, identity, and goodwill with different development agencies and stakeholders.
