SCOPE

The Factory Accountant, reporting to the Regional Finance Head, plays an important role in safeguarding the organization’s assets with a focus on internal controls, governance, and financial performance. The Factory Accountant steers the factory towards sustained profitability by collaborating directly with the Factory Operations Head and other cross-functional teams, leading strategically and driving change. This position actively engages in business decisions and initiatives to foster growth. Embracing digitalization and data-driven decision-making, this role ensures efficient end-to-end processes and workflows while upholding professional objectivity to challenge the organization when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of factory budget and monitoring adherence to the same.
Prepare & present (weekly/monthly quarterly) factory P&L statement to regional cross functional team & drive the factory profitability with Factory Operations Head
Manage factory overheads including monitoring target vs. actuals (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and suggesting corrective actions as needed.
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders for value creation projects (cost optimization, productivity improvement, process improvements for waste eliminations, Cut to Ship & Extra shipment improvements etc.)
Ensuring governance and adherence to internal control systems in the factory with a key focus on safeguarding of factory assets
preparing MIS and other reports for Management
Any other special project as assign by the management (Smart Factory Initiative projects / ROI workings – Pay back , NPV for new investments etc.)
