- Capable to design, drawing and estimate Water and Sanitation infrastructures independently
- Substantial experience in operations management in the urban areas.
- Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues in low income urban setting, and hygiene practice at community level.
- Good knowledge of community mobilization and sanitizations and skills transfer.
- Technical knowledge regarding water and sanitation options for low income urban areas
- Knowledge about civil, painting and plumbing works
- Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, power point etc.)
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment

Position: Field Engineer, (Integrated Rehabilitation Programme for WASH services); Urban Development Programme (Project Staff)
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide technical support for the installation of deep tube-well with piped network, community latrine and school latrine, drainage system, Waste bins construction along with other water and sanitation technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist for drawings & specifications in preparation of subcontractor scope. Identify and support implementation of demand based (Urban) WASH/infrastructure technologies and interventions
- Keep information flow smoothly through involving the regional coordinator and ensure the smooth communication for any related issue.
- Involve in the selection of appropriate sites for construction of facilities
- Ensure quality control of the infrastructure development related work (budget, estimate, schedule, plans, worker’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Interact daily with the clients ( meson, worker, CDO members) to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Check the work done by the contractors and recommend for any modifications (if required).
- Assist the project team in testing necessary samples for checking and ensuring quality.
- Assist to make purchase requirement to the management to ensure availability of service.
- Keep the record of the project document and any other related documents.
- Prepare monthly progress reports.
- Participate in workshops and trainings in WASH for acquired knowledge and skills.
- Perform any task assigns by your supervisors.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
