Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • Valid registration certificate from BMDC
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Responsibilities & Context

AkijBashir Group is seeking a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) for its corporate office – responsible for providing medical care, consultancy and support to all employees of the group. This role involves the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses, preventive healthcare, life-threatening diseases, injuries and the promotion of overall health and wellness among staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary healthcare services to AkijBashir Group employees, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Manage medical emergencies and provide immediate care, including stabilization and referral to external healthcare facilities when necessary.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as required.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs.
  • Conduct regular health checkups and screenings when assigned by the management.
  • Educate employees on health and wellness topics, including lifestyle modification, nutrition, and exercise.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate health and safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Provide medical advice on occupational hazards, and the prevention of workplace injuries.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees.
  • Prepare and submit medical reports as required by the organization.
  • Monitor and report on health trends and issues within the workforce.
  • Work with the Admin and Group HR department to support employee health and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with external medical professionals and healthcare facilities to coordinate care and referrals.
  • Provide medical consultation and support to management on health-related policies and decisions.
