Requirements

Education

  • Master’s in Accounting/Finance/Management. Candidates having completed CA (CC) will be preferred.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Good experience and knowledge in accounting data processing and report generating using Accounting software including Tally-ERP9/Tally Prime.
  • Budget analysis and control
  • Clear knowledge on VAT, Tax, Revenue Stamp Act and govt. rules.
  • Conversant in common IT applications (MS word, MS power point, internet browsing& e-mail communications)
  • Knowledge about procurement process
  • Having a clear knowledge on banking transaction for the financial issues of the project/organization
  • Having experience in inventory management
  • Having working knowledge on FD6, FD7 and FD8, FC1
  • Having working experience in USAID supported projects will be a preference.
  • Good working relationship with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies
  • Facilitation skill in financial process, compliance and relevant policies to the team members
  • Previous Work Experience:
  • At least 2 years with relevant experience.

Responsibilities & Context

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA)<www.ypsa.org>, established in 1985 (International Youth Year) is an organization for sustainable development working in Dhaka Division, Sylhet Division, Chattogram Division including Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char. Currently, YPSA is working with a total of 15 million (estimated) disadvantaged and vulnerable people. YPSA has been implementing projects in Cox’s Bazar including “Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration (BPRM) Project for Food Security & Livelihood and Child Protection Sectors”, “Prevention and Response Activities Implementation on Counter Trafficking issues”, and “Multi Sector Recovery and Empowerment Support for crises affected communities in Cox’s Bazar” supported by Save the Children, IOM and IRC respectively. YPSA is inviting competent candidates to apply for the following position.

Duration : 1 Year (possibility of contract extension)

Job Responsibilities:

  • S/he will remain responsible for managing and finance accounts functions of the project.
  • S/he will also be responsible for working on accounts & finance management independently.
  • S/he should be able to maintain good coordination and communication with different stakeholders, vendors and project personnel.
  • S/he will have to maintain books of accounts prepare financial reports and undertake audit and financial monitoring.
  • S/he will prepare budget and variance analysis.
  • S/he will contribute to budgetary control by providing strategic ideas and procedures in regarding to resource mobilization.
  • S/he will perform her/his responsibilities following polices and maintaining compliance of the organization, donor and govt.
