- Be registered with the local association.
- Previous NGO experience.
- Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla).
- Able to work in harsh conditions.
- Good physical condition.
- The strong teamwork approaches.
- Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla.
- Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh.
- Sensitized on the issues related to child protection, protection of gender-based violence, etc.
- Experienced in Humanitarian Context, preferably in the fields of rehabilitation and inclusion.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary context.
- Applicable framework documents: to be defined.
- Own laptop and own bike with valid driving license is preferable.
- Experience and comprehensive understanding of disability issues, awareness-raising, and training implementation and reporting.
- Experience working in a remote community setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh.
- Have the capacity to maintain close relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural team environment.
- Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at the field level.

Responsibilities & Context
Strategy and steering:
- Throughout weekly plans, conduct door-to-door visits to support the identification and data collection of persons with disabilities.
- Ensure the data entry and documentation of information in line with standard operating procedures and data governance as well as international standards through guidance from the Technical Unit.
- Communicate and link with other Organizations (Govt./ Private), For referrals (PSS, protection, rehabilitation, and Service Linkage), to ensure a comprehensive approach.
- Coordinate with the Camp Health Sector and health actors.
- Support the Inclusion officer (HI) in mapping & Provide existing Rehab services in the area.
- Ensure external referrals and follow-up, by gathering feedback on service provided for documentation.
- Closely follow up on individual and familial cases to ensure timely follow-up of all the beneficiaries.
- Place referral of beneficiaries identified for specialized service when necessary.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting as required by HI/ AVAS.
- Ensure the beneficiaries sign the necessary document when the provision of items/devices.
- Closely work with the Accessibility officer when planning and implementing any accessibility work for the beneficiary and ensure the proper user training for the beneficiary and caregiver.
- Work in close collaboration with the volunteer, ensuring the quality of service.
- Perform other tasks as requested by line management and technical unit.
- Demonstrate ethics and professional practice.
- Respect the beneficiaries’ confidentiality.
- Report any incident or act that causes any harm to the beneficiary or others.
- Always ask permission to touch or apply any treatment or maneuvers to someone.
- Always respect a refusal of treatment.
- Show abilities and competencies to execute an efficient rehabilitation intervention.
- Transversal coordination: regular coordination and collaboration with HI Project Manager and Technical Unit.
- For any technical issues, he/she will be directing reportable to HI Project Manager.
Operational implementation:
Responsibility1:Provision of Physical and Functional Rehabilitation:
Provide rehabilitation care to the most critical and high-priority cases according to the guidelines & rehabilitation interventions.
Prescreening and prioritization for accurate assessment, planning, and provision of appropriate Rehabilitation service to the beneficiaries, including ongoing evaluation/reassessment of the beneficiaries, within the constraints of the project resources at the beneficiaries’ home, and where relevant.
Familiarize yourself with the global physical and functional rehabilitation approaches.
Inform the beneficiary and the caregiver importance of rehabilitation services to improve the physical situation and daily function.
Offer rehabilitation services based on the defined objectives between the beneficiary and the caregiver.
Refer for medical advice if needed. (DO NO HARM).
Advice and train the beneficiary and the caregivers on the basic exercises that the beneficiary can do on his/her own or with/without support from caregivers on the way to prevent complications or disabling situation.
Provide guidance and support to the Rehabilitation Assistants in managing cases or as needed.
Responsibility 2: Provision of Assistive Devices and Rehabilitation:
Equipment Management:
Identify the beneficiary’s needs (for critical and high-priority cases) in terms of assistive devices and mobility aids.
Ensure that the device is adapted to user needs and provide clear explanations to guarantee its safe and proper use and maintenance.
Ensure a proper follow-up on the use and wean off the assistive device.
Ensure the provision of assistive devices is made according to the strategy (quality and quantity) and the needs identified.
Enhance and Ensure quality by supporting Technical Officer (TO)- Rehabilitation in the provision of assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment.
Plan and utilize the local resources to ensure reasonable accommodation for the beneficiary where needed Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of rehabilitation activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
Prepare timely and accurate reports for donors, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Evaluate program impact and identify lessons learned for future improvements.
Transversal coordination:
Regular coordination and collaboration with HI Project Manager and Technical Unit.
