Job related knowledge: Knowledge of programme procedures and processes. Up-to-date administrative, finance & procurement practices and ICT use.

Skills:

  • Fluent in Bangla and English.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of database structure and SQL.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, networks, trouble shooting and databases.
  • Ability to work in cloud-hosted IT infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel within Bangladesh.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple competing priorities and activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities & Context

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Senior IT Officer will be involved with tasks related to the HICRA project’s Dhaka and Cox bazar office IT and database management-related support. The primary concern of the position holder is to keep the activity’s information updated, provide day-to-day support to users on IT-related issues and concerns, and troubleshoot problems in the system. Needs to organize, secure, and ensure quality database, participant payment system (Mobile wallet transfer).

The incumbent will oversee all IT and MIS-related project tasks while also maintaining organized records and documentation in adherence with the policies and procedures of FIVDB and USAID.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Director Finance and Administration.

Staff directly reporting to this post: None

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Key Area 1: Documentation:

1.1. Working closely with project partners and HQ staff, the IT Officer will ensure the quality, timeliness, and uniformity of documents, databases, and communication materials on the common drive.

1.2. Organise IT and MIS-related project records and documentation in adherence with the policies and procedures of FIVDB and USAID.

1.3. Periodic inventory of the IT related hardware and Software as per USAID compliance requirement and report to Director Finance &Administration.

Key Area 2: ICT Support and Services

2.1. Manage computer systems, network infrastructure, and cloud storage operations.

2.2. Network Administration and Maintenance Monitor the network for security loopholes by analyzing security 2.3. breaches and vulnerabilities for hacking, viruses, malware, and other malicious code infections.

2.4. Troubleshoot network and computer software and hardware problems and performance issues; Set up and maintain Microsoft cloud services, including OneDrive, Share Point, Outlook, and MS Teams.

2.5 Installing, reinstalling, and configuring the operating system and application software in-house and remotely

Maintain a current asset list of all technical equipment and supplies and liaise with the operations team to submit the inventory report to supervisor/DM Procurement as required.

2.6 Ensure the operation and service of desktops, laptops, scanners, photocopiers, printers, Wi-Fi routers, etc.

Conduct ICT training for the project teams on ICT digital tools, emerging technologies, and in House-developed applications.

2.7 Provide support to manage the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) for any IT issues.

2.8 IT Officer will ensure the quality, timeliness, and uniformity of documents, databases, and communication materials on the common drive.

2.9 Assist in ensuring the security of data by implementing regular updates of software, security, and operation systems.
