We share a common determination to organize, to defend human rights and labour standards in Bangladesh, and to promote the growth of workers organization for the benefit of all working men and women and their families.

Name of the Position: Program Officer

Program Officer is a front level management position of this project responsible for Project Planning, implementation, coordination and collaboration. It is a front lime supervisory position having the direct interaction and communication with the project stakeholders including employers’ associations and trade unions. This position is full time and based on head office of BLF but frequently field visit is mandatory. This position is reported to Head of Program of BLF.

Preferred Job Description/Responsibility

  • Ensure that the Project activities are properly delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism to achieve the positive impact and goal of the project
  • Implement project activities with support of other project team members
  • Ensure organizing different advocacy related events- seminar, workshops, training program etc. with the different participants of the tannery sector in Bangladesh.
  • Organize and conduction of meeting and workshop with project stakeholders in the tannery sector
  • Develop work plan in coordination with other team members and ensuring this plan will meet project activities
  • Periodic field visit and communicate with field-based team members and program team of BLF to ensure project activities are managed smoothly
  • Coordination and communication with stakeholders, GOs, NGOs, Private Sectors, CBOs, Service Providers and other departments
  • Communicate and develop relationship with the different stakeholders of this project.
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative report regularly as per project needs
  • Ensure documentation and record keeping
  • Support to Training Officer to conduct training sessions according to the project requirement.
  • Ensure visibility of the project as per requirement
  • Any other duties assigned by the management
