Responsibilities & Context
Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone’s basic needs and rights. Since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx, SKUS has worked in Cox’s Bazar district with children adolescents, women, and men. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching/learning and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children’s education. Based on children’s and adolescents’ rights, SKUS has established quality learning and protection Centre with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
SKUS is going to implement the Pooled Funded Education project “Provision of inclusive education for Rohingya Children aged 3-14 years in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh” for the Rohingya at Ukhiya Upazila in Cox’s Bazar District with the technical support of BRAC.
SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of a Project Coordinator for the project as mentioned.
Reportable to: Chairperson/ Chief Executive, SKUS.
Duration of contract: 31 December 2024
Development of a strategic implementation plan based on impact logic, project objective, sub-objectives and activity planning according to the approved application,
Guide and support the project team to ensure effective project implementation and reaching the targets according to the donor agreement.
Ensure that the project’s M&E system is in place and that activity reviews take place at regular intervals to assure the quality of the interventions and follow the implementation plans of the
Ensure that work is planned and organized in a way that meets the needs of the beneficiaries in the most cost-effective manner possible.
Maintenance and monitoring of project plans, project schedules, and working hours.
Work closely with the finance department to ensure effective management of the project’s budget.
Monitor, evaluate, and ensure that the project activities are consistent with plans, budget lines in full compliance with the donor’s regulations.
Coordination with various stakeholders, including BRAC, SKUS management level, local administration, local government, Education sector, and NGOs, and regular participation in the sub-sector meetings, including coordination meetings as representatives of SKUS.
Identify gaps in the workforce and organize appropriate training for staff and teachers as required.
Monitoring of project activities, monitoring of project staff and reporting,
Report to SKUS management, BRAC, government, and other stakeholders.
Conflict management within the team and with other actors, as required.
