Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in any discipline from any reputed university.

  • Age 38 to 45 years
  • At least 10 years of extensive experience in managing sales and distribution channels.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Sales and Distribution.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.

Responsibilities & Context

Purpose:

  • Reporting to the Head of Retail Business, the primary role of this position is to oversee the activities of the Regional managers and monitor their performance as a whole. The Head of Regional Sales will be responsible for regularly defining and communicating the business’s KPIs and targets to Regional Sales personnel. The person will primarily analyze consumer and market behavior patterns and draw meaningful inferences that will lead to data-driven action strategies. It is a leadership role that requires the incumbent to consistently optimize and steer the commercial performance of the retail business.
  • The ideal candidate must have sharp commercial acumen, a deep understanding of the retail consumer behavioral pattern, region-specific socio-economic status, and an ability to analyze sales departmental performance. Regular visits to the regions are required. Experience with life insurance companies is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Regional Sales managers.
  • Assist the Head of Business to set forth robust business plans and follow through with the execution in a dedicated manner.
  • Set revenue targets (first years and renewal), plans and manage Regional Managers to achieve the set goals.
  • Lead, manage and coach the Regional teams to enhance the team capabilities and achievement of goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams like actuary, underwriting, customer service and marketing to drive campaigns that lead to business results.
  • Have a strong product focus to ensure the most optimum product mix that best fits the market.
  • Assist the Head of Business to ensure the net profitability of the business unit with a keen focus towards the bottom line.
  • Conduct pieces of training for team members as needed.
  • Help establish the “Guardian Life” brand at the root level with effective execution of campaigns.
  • Help drive loyalty campaigns at producer and customer levels to ensure that “Guardian Life” remains the brand of choice while boosting the customer satisfaction level.
  • Designing and implementing strategic plans to reach sales targets.
  • Execute and monitor periodical and regional campaigns.
  • Planning, monitoring and appraising sales results.
