Responsibilities & Context

- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services. Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Communicating with principals for product specification, availability, costing and lead time.
- Organizing principal visits to the existing clients and potential clients.
- Promoting and selling products using solid product specifications and benefits to existing and prospective customers.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
- Assisting principals and technical experts with chemical/product trials at clients’ premises; providing technical services and support.
- Conducting market analysis; performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.
- Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
- Maintaining client records.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
- Generating leads; reaching out to customer leads through cold calling and developing new businesses.
- Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals. Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinating sales effort with team members, marketing programs and other departments.
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Analyzing the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- Suppling management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients and collecting credits.
