Requirements

  • Bachelors in Economics / Political Science / Journalism / Development Studies / Public Policy or any other relevant subject from any recognised university/ institution.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required; language skills in Bengali highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in strategic communication, relationship building, event management, public speaking, creative writing, blogging and visual storytelling.
  • Prior knowledge of financial inclusion, digital financial services and the microfinance industry will be an asset.
  • Have sound knowledge on development sector, contemporary communication practices and platforms, media engagement etc.
  • Identifying and understanding communication and knowledge challenges and opportunities within the programme and delivering relevant output that is strategically aligned.
  • Communicating with sensitivity while adhering to BRAC values, guided policies, safeguarding standards and organizational frameworks.
  • Networking with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining effective acquaintance through proper communication channels.
  • Maintaining knowledge management system and disseminating materials that is clear, consistent and compelling.
  • Ability to multitask and handle ad-hoc responsibilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in development/journalism/ financial sector or any other relevant field.

Job Purpose

To assist MF programme in knowledge documentation and utilization of institutional knowledge by assisting with effective reporting. To manage MF programme knowledge and maintain a strategy to organize and disseminate for effective usage. Maintaining Partnership and co-operate strategy with stakeholders for MF.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assess knowledge requirements aspects and capture gathered knowledge for disseminating within MF programme.
  • To develop tools for finding knowledge gaps and mitigating them effectively.
  • To engage actively in developing content such as articles, one pager for Research Report, blog posts, case studies, research briefs, and digital content for internal and external use; managing materials and information resources for external visitors.
  • To coordinate and communicate with partners through an effective networking bridge between partners and stakeholders.
  • To check and manage deliverables, contracts, legal documents, processes and invoices of partners.
  • To collaborate with the administration as well as finance team for managing the partner’s allocated budget covering payment, procurement, conduct requisition, and develop TOR (terms of reference) as applicable.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
