Summary

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Tejas, Huawei, ZTE) are preferred.

Additional Requirements

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining SDH and DWDM systems.
Experience with network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of SDH and DWDM technologies and protocols.
Proficiency with network management tools and monitoring systems.
Knowledge of optical fiber technologies and signal transmission.
Familiarity with MPLS, and IP networking.
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in optical networking.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.

Design, configure, and implement SDH and DWDM networks.
Develop detailed engineering plans and network designs to meet business requirements.
Plan and execute network expansions and upgrades.
Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on SDH and DWDM equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to SDH and DWDM systems.
Monitor network performance and optimize efficiency and reliability.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network operations.
Collaborate with other network engineers, IT staff, and vendors for seamless operations.
Provide training and technical support to junior engineers and team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of SDH and DWDM systems with other network technologies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access.
Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
