Responsibilities & Context
1. Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials, finished goods, and other necessary items.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to maintain accurate records.
- Implement inventory control procedures to prevent stock discrepancies.
2. Procurement and Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement of materials.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect materials upon receipt to ensure they meet the quality standards of the factory.
- Coordinate with the production team to address any quality issues with incoming materials.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, procurement activities, and stock levels.
- Prepare regular reports on stock status, procurement activities, and any issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to store management.
5. Team Supervision
- Supervise store staff, including assigning tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide training and support to store personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure that safety and cleanliness standards are maintained in the store area.
6. Coordination with Other Departments
- Work closely with the production and planning departments to ensure that materials are available as needed.
- Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and control costs related to inventory and procurement.
- Coordinate with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues related to material quality.
7. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure that all store activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols within the store, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
8. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Identify and address issues related to inventory management and procurement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
