Job Overview: The Head of Café Amazon is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of Café Amazon outlets in Bangladesh. This role involves strategic planning, ensuring consistent service quality, managing financial performance, and leading a team to achieve business goals. The position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry, strong managerial skills, and the ability to drive growth while maintaining the brand’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement business strategies to expand Café Amazon’s presence in Bangladesh.Align the operations with the company’s overall objectives and goals.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of all Café Amazon outlets to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain service quality and consistency.Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely and quality delivery of products.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met or exceeded. Analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Organise training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of the staff.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, product quality, and hygiene.Address customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience. Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.
  • Brand Management: Uphold and promote the Café Amazon brand, ensuring all outlets adhere to the brand guidelines. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement local marketing campaigns. Monitor competitors and market trends to ensure Café Amazon remains competitive.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all outlets comply with local regulations, including health and safety standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols to protect both customers and staff.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on operational performance, financial status, and other relevant metrics to the senior management team.Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and adjustments to the business strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-outlet operations, preferably in a café or quick-service restaurant environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in brand management and marketing within the F&B sector.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and logistics in the F&B industry.
  • Proficiency in both Bengali and English.
