Responsibilities & Context

CONTEXT:

In the heart of our story is Amal Foundation, a place where hope isn’t just a concept; it’s the driving force behind everything we do. Our journey began in 2014 with a strong belief that when hope is sparked, lives can truly transform. Inspired by Samuel Smiles’ words, “Hope is the companion of power, and mother of success”. With a name derived from the Arabic word for hope, we aimed to be a guiding light for Bangladesh’s underprivileged communities. From remote riverine islands to Rohingya refugee camps, our projects are a testament to compassion, creating a fabric of empowerment and resilience. Looking back with pride, Amal has evolved into a global family, united by the shared goal of building a brighter tomorrow. Amal Foundation’s main area of focus lies in education, emergency response, health and women’s empowerment. Since 2014 Amal has worked in numerous projects starting from working with displaced communities in remote riverine islands in the North, facilitating a community health center, building schools, supporting Rohingya Refugees with food, clothing and shelter and even creation of women skill and training center. The organization has grown rapidly since its inception, attracting thousands of members and supporters from across the globe.
