Responsibilities & Context
- Supervise and manage the entire production process, from raw material input to finished product output.
- Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured within the defined quality standards.
- Monitor and optimize production efficiency, focusing on reducing waste and improving productivity.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors and line managers to ensure a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability among production staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes and procedures on the production floor.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during production.
- Resource Management:
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to ensure efficient production operations.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
- Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within the production process and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in blazer manufacturing.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on the production floor.
- Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.
- Address and resolve any safety concerns promptly.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, efficiency, and costs.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on production analysis.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Act as a key liaison between the production department and other departments such as quality control, maintenance, HR, and procurement.
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager and other senior management regarding production status, challenges, and achievements.
