Additional Requirements
- 2-3 years working experience in Community mobilization in project implementation or a similar position in NGOs, especially in urban Housing and WASH project implementation;
- Training on WASH, Appropriate Construction Technology (ACT), Disaster management, Gender mainstreaming, people management etc. related training will be an advantage;
- Basic knowledge on house construction, WaSH facilities, urban issues for low-income people;
- Skill in MS Excel, MS Word, and power point;
- Maintain a high morale with integrity and honesty;
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills;
- Capacity to handle multi tasks & prioritize job responsibilities.
- Good English communication skills.

Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety. Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh (HFHB) is currently looking for interested and qualified candidates for the following position.

1.POSITION SUMMARY
The position will be responsible for carry out the training, communicating with the partners and beneficiaries’ and assist the Program Manager. Building Resilience in Dhaka Urban Informal Settlements, A Multi–sectoral Approach to Capacity Building (Phase VII) is 3-year project starting from July 2024. The project will be direct implementation by Habitat in Dhaka. So, Habitat Program team need a Community Mobilizer for the project based at Dhaka office for the project activity accomplishment.
2. Key RESPONSIBILITIES
The below list of responsibilities is not exhaustive; other tasks may be required to adapt to operational needs. To achieve the overall and specific position’s objectives the Finance Officer will perform the following tasks and undertake the following responsibilities:
A. Core Responsibility:
- Carry out and overseeing the project hardware activities and software activities as per the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) under the supervision of Program Manager;
- Assist Program Manager for planning, organizing and coordinating various trainings for the community leaders, community people and CWCs;
- Provide orientation/training to the community people, WASH committee especially on technical issues (ACT Training) related with the project implementation;
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with all government agencies, NGOs, partner organizations; community leaders, Community WASH Committee/CBOs and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project;
- Assist Program Manager to ensure effective utilization of resources and community mobilization in project implementation;
- Support to Program Manager and Construction Coordinator in beneficiaries’ selection process;
- Support and monitor the procurement process for project-related procurements;
- Support to Program Manager/Construction Coordinator for verifying and maintaining all the legal papers and deeds between HFHB and beneficiaries and maintain beneficiaries’ file;
- Identify, collect and documents (beneficiary list, family database, pictures, case stories etc.) and best practices for dissemination and Support and ensure a cooperative team environment at HFHB.
B. Safeguarding responsibility
- Read and understand on safeguarding policy;
- Have to be ensure that both staff and those we work with are treated with dignity and respect;
- Safeguarding issues should report it immediately to Safeguarding Focal Point, or line manager.
WORKING CONDITION: The position will be based in Dhaka with regular field visits in the project locations.
Compensation & Other Benefits
BDT 30,000 per month with all other regular benefits as per organizational policy
(Negotiable based on the competency of the selected candidate)
