Requirements

Education

  • Graduation in Food Engineering/Post Graduation in Nutrition and Food Technology / Graduation in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry from a reputed university.

Additional Requirements

  • 3- 6 years previous experience in a similar role within the food processing or slaughtering industry is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Food Safety Management, conversant with ISO-22000/FSSC/HACCP guidelines/standards.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
  • Experience of handling ISO 22000: 2018 / FSSC 22000 Audit.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food safety and quality assurance is a plus.
  • Lead Auditor Certifications in ISO 22000 (FSMS)/FSSC with strong understanding on QMS, GMP, TQM, and HACCP will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Plan, recommend, manage and supervise the company’s quality control and assurance protocols.
  • Oversee on-line quality-related activities to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct operational pre-requisite programs and monitor personal hygiene in compliance with ISO 22000 guidelines for food safety.
  • Compile & document quality control reports, create statistical process control metrics, manage non-conformity material discrepancy reports and assess customer return products with failure analysis.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure adherence to required standards/AQL levels.
  • Coordinate production planning activities in alignment with customer demand and company objectives.
  • Supervise and manage production line operations, including employee management, finished goods, and by-product handling.
  • Calculate production metrics on a line-by-line basis and maintain accurate records in our ERP system.
  • Coordinate the production, packing, freezing, and loading of intermediate and main product items.
  • Generate reports and prepare documentation for delivery, including updating records and issuing necessary documentation on time.
  • Accomplish quality objectives by working closely with suppliers and regulatory bodies in quality control concepts/regulations.
  • Conduct the gap analysis in QMS (Quality Management System) in co-ordination site team and shall prepare the action points for implementation for achieving the desired levels in QMS.
  • Prepare schedule for internal audit and ensure adherence to the schedule. Review progress on corrective actions carried out against the audit findings.
  • Ensuring the FSMS is established, implemented, maintained and updated. Report to top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the FSMS.
  • Encourage change and continuous improvement to enhance the quality assurance process for the department. Develop SOPs and documents as per ISO 22000/ FSSC standard to improve work efficiency and productivity.
