Professional experience

5 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector.
At least 2 years’ experience working as GBV Manager/Officer position in the Rohingya context.
At least 2 years’ experience in capacity development of state and non-state actors.
Strong understanding of gender issues, human rights, and GBV protection issues.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the local justice system (e.g., village court, arbitration, mediation, etc.).
Understanding of the conflict dynamics in the camp and adjacent host communities.

Other knowledge, additional competences

Ability to facilitate and communicate in the local Cox’s Bazar dialect/FDMN dialect.
Willingness to travel and work in the camps in Teknaf and Ukhiya.
Strong writing, speaking, and reporting skills in English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability in self-organization, to work under pressure and deliver on time.
Proven commitment to gender equality and disability.
Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in an intercultural environment.
Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
