Summary

Education

Candidate must have a Master’s degree with Honors at bachelor’s level, preferably in a relevant subject (Social Science subjects include Economics, Sociology, Geography, and Environmental Sciences, Anthropology, Climate Change and Development, Social Science, Statistics etc.);
Candidates with a third division or a GPA below 2 in SSC/HSC or a CGPA below 2.5 as applicable, are not considered to meet the necessary requirements;

Experience

Additional Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in social research;
Experience in governance research, energy sector, and climate change field will be an added advantage;
The candidate must have computer skills in MS Office;The candidate must have the skill of typing Bangla (Bijoy Bangla software);
Skill in data management and data analysis by using computer software (like STATA, SPSS etc.) and data visualization software (like Tableau etc.) or large-scale survey based data collection using open source application (like KoBo and Google format etc.) will be an added advantage; and
Should be able to work under pressure.

Assist in preparing the data collection tools and survey questionnaire; Assist in the collection of primary and secondary data using various qualitative tools and survey questionnaires;
Assist in writing reports and/or contribute to writing chapters in Bangla and English;
Assist in preparing and presenting research findings;Assist in preparing a list of stakeholders and contacts for the study;
Assist in conducting interviews with key informants and transcribe them;
Assist in monitoring and overseeing the collection of field data;
Assist in checking and cross-checking the collected data, entering and cross-checking survey data;
Administrative work, training arrangements, communication with the field team; and
Any other tasks related to energy governance project.
