Requirements

Education

Minimum MBBS degree; preference for candidates with additional qualifications such as MPH, MPhil, or MBA in Hospital Administration & Hospital Management

Experience

  • At least 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • At least 7 years’ experience in leading health programs/projects in development and or emergency context including a minimum of 2 years of experience at a health care facility as a Hospital Administrator or similar role.
  • Basic understanding of Rohingya context (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent coordination and training skills
  • Ability to reflect on and learn from personal and program performance and act upon lessons learned.
  • Able and willing to travel to remote and insecure locations to live for periods and at short notice.
  • Ability to work in and maintain a positive team dynamic in a challenging environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.

The Opportunity

The Hospital Lead will offer a strategic and executive role that provides leadership, clinical, and medical service management and serves as a liaison among the SCI Senior Health Program manager and relevant staff of Field Hospital (PHCC& CEmONC). S/he is responsible for ensuring top-notch clinical care across all hospital units, organizing, controlling, and coordinating services as per the Health Sector and SCI Global Medical Team (GMT) standards. The Hospital Lead will work harmoniously with large internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for overseeing the hospital operations, development, and implementation of programs and policies for patient services, public relationships, and various section activities. S/he will focus on the Evidence-generation process and Capacity Enhancement of the Service providers to ensure that SCI will deliver the values and standards of the organization. S/he also coordinates with other sectoral actors running the CEmONC Facilities & Field hospital, institutions, and relevant parties such as District/Upazila level Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH&FW) Managers/Authorities for ensuring regular supplies & commodities and maintains Camp level coordination with CIC as well as with UN bodies associated with Health sector. The incumbent also organizes periodic visits from MOH&FW District/Upazila Focal to the Hospital to keep them updated about SCI health programming. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
