3 Years of practical experience in senior management position of WASH and Protection will get preference.

Good command of English and Bangla is a must.
Hands-on experience in relevant office software/ applications.

Responsibilities & Context
Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Bangladesh is going to implement a project “Gender-sensitive Humanitarian Assistance in WASH & Protection for the Rohingya Refugee and Host in Teknaf, Coxs Bazar, and Bhasan Char” through partner organizations FIVDB, DSK, Anando, and Uttaran. This project is funded by German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). The project’s overall objective is to contribute to improved access to critically needed WASH and humanitarian protection services for Rohingya Refugees and vulnerable Host Communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char. FIVDB will implement the protection part and DSK, Anando and Uttaran will implement the WASH part. Contract duration- One Year(to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The Consortium Coordinator will be recruited by Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB). Administratively, the position will report to the Executive Director, FIVDB, and professionally to the Area Manager, Welthungerhilfe Bangladesh.
The Consortium Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of this GFFO-funded project and will serve as the consortium focal point. The Consortium Coordinator will ensure quality program implementation, including providing strategic guidance to consortium partners and staff, and will be responsible for budget management, M&E, partnership management, and relationships with external actors, including government authorities, humanitarian working groups, and project partners. They will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with all consortium partners and the donor and will act as the lead focal point for the project’s senior management team. This position requires maintaining close collaboration with the WHH WASH & Protection experts and the MEAL Coordinator.
Duties and areas of responsibility
A. Organize consortium members to carry out the project.
• Oversees the execution of project operations for both WASH and Protection to ensure the accomplishment of objectives and targets, timely and cost-effective expenditure, and other partners’ (donor, project partners) obligations.
• Create and maintain a shared understanding among consortium members regarding the objectives, elements, and methods of implementation, including MEAL approaches.
• Plan the many phases of project implementation and determine the direction by allocating priorities and allocating resources to meet project goals in collaboration with the managers of the consortium partners.
B. Lead and coordinate the Consortium’s partners and the project overall.
• Plan regular meetings, create procedures for working, provide information and briefings for decision-making on important/top-line issues, raise challenges, and organize and report project implementation and progress to the Area Manager, WHH.
• Oversee the creation and execution of strategies for the program’s cross-cutting themes, which include gender equality, capacity building, and peacebuilding.
• Ensure that the consortium and project team members communicate clearly and effectively with one another.
• Coordinates the creation and prompt preparation/submission of donor and governmental reports in conjunction with consortium partners.
• Develops, reviews, and oversees the project’s yearly work and performance plans in conjunction with the consortium partners to make sure that both short- and long-term priorities are being met.
• Coordinate the project partner in project’s supplies procurement and forecasting and distribution.
C. Complete and oversee external representation and advocacy;
• Serve as a focal point for external representation with various partners (donors, officials, regional level clusters, other consortia, and non-governmental organizations);
• Coordinate with WASH and Protection sector, NGO platform, TWG for external representation as necessary, establishing an engagement plan and offering frequent updates and feedback.
• Verify that the standards for donor visibility and communications are being fulfilled.
D. Ensuring programming quality and accountability;
• Encourage the application of standardized techniques and methods across all consortium members.
• Take charge of and oversee the work of the consortium and implementing partners, making sure that standards and technical quality of WASH and Protection are taken into account and upheld throughout the project’s implementation.
• Ascertain a comprehensive perspective of consortium operations to provide guidance and identify any program quality concerns.
E. Additional duties as needed;
• Offering guidance on how well-aligned operations are with humanitarian and development needs;
• Ensuring, through the utilization of project monitoring tools, that national and international standards governing humanitarian interventions are adhered to.
• Setting a positive example by actively supporting the project’s consortium partners’ and donor’s gender mainstreaming initiatives and gender-equitable approach throughout programming carried out with partners and teams forming collaborations.
• Complete additional tasks as delegated by the immediate supervisor and lead organization.
