  • At least 4/5 years’ working experience .
  • Textile engineer with 3rd party inspection and QMS experience will be an advantage.
  • Previous working experience in brands or buying Office is preferable.
  • Well-organized, systematic, detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and open-minded to establish relationship with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS office (Pivot table, v-lookup, power-point Excel and Word).
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Export related documentation.

Responsibilities & Context

Auchan Retail is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our dynamic team at the Dhaka Liaison Office. The Quality Controller ensures the quality and conformity of products from suppliers through on-site visits, monitoring production steps, and assessing supplier capacity for timely delivery. They support suppliers in enhancing manufacturing performance and work closely with the Quality & Compliance Manager and the merchandising team. The role also involves promoting Auchan’s values and ethical standards.

Reporting line:

This position will directly report to the Production & Quality Manager, South-Asia.

Responsibilities:

Ensures the quality and conformity of auchan products:

  • Conducts Pre-Production Meetings in factory, in order to check that all the elements are ready and conform to launch the production.
  • Perform in-line and pre-final inspection to control bulk production on quality and conformity Aspects.
  • Conducts Final Random Inspection following Auchan’s process and issues corresponding reports.
  • Ensure to meet the test requirement and guide to the suppliers.

Monitors production steps and assesses supplier production capacity to secure on time delivery:

  • Checks the production status of running orders and controls the allocation of factory production capacity to our products, is accurate and sufficient.
  • Alerts Merchandiser/ Merchandiser Manager if any risks of delay on LID/LRD.
  • Sends her/his reports in due time both to merchandising and suppliers.
  • Brings defective samples to office when necessary.
  • Up- dates necessary documents in due time, as per requested process.

Supports suppliers in improving manufacturing performance:

  • Checks suppliers have the correct understanding of the process file.
  • Follows suppliers KPIs.
  • Works with suppliers to find the roots of problems and define a Corrective Action plan .
  • Supports auditors in the implementation of the factory assessment CAPs.
