Responsibilities & Context
Ensuring technical guidance and support to the Technical Trainer-SMO in center based vocational training on relevant skill trade. The position contributes to increase quality of the skill training activities according to plan & proposal. This position will work cooperatively with the Programme Manager- Technical in effective organization and facilitation of the vocational training.
- Lead community mobilization efforts to identify and select learners for sewing machine operations training
- Conduct surveys and assessments to ensure proper selection and enrollment of learners
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of training centers and facilities
- Ensure that all training equipment is safely used and well-maintained
- Take full responsibility for the operational success of the center-based skill training programs
- Facilitate center-based training on sewing machine operations as per the training module
- Provide technical assistance and expertise to enhance the learning experience of participants
- Offer technical guidance and support to the Technical Trainer in delivering training sessions
- Assist in developing and updating training materials and modules
- Suggest modifications to training modules based on feedback and changing needs
- Ensure learner attendance and conduct door-to-door visits for follow-up if necessary
- Assist in cash-based transactions and follow-up with beneficiaries
- Perform regular monitoring, reporting, and problem-solving to ensure learner progress
- Coordinate with the Programme Manager-Skill to ensure the quality of training provided to learners
- Take the lead in conducting formal and non-formal assessments
- Work closely with project support services to ensure smooth implementation of project activities
- Collaborate with the field staff and provide necessary reports and updates
- Prepare internal and external reports as required by the supervisor
- Support the arrangement of seminars, workshops and other training-related events
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
