Position Overview:
The Sustainability Officer will lead and manage the company’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, promoting eco- friendly practices, and fostering a culture of Sustainability. This role invilvs collaborating with various departments to implement and monitor Sustainability strategies that align with the company’s goals and values.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Sustainability strategies.
- Create and execute Sustainability policies and strategies in line with industry best practices and company objectives .
- Set measurable goals and target for reducing the environmental impact of the company’s operations.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure Compliance with local, national and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present Sustainability reports, including data on environmental performance, to management and stakeholders.
Supply chain management:
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure ensure sustainable sourcing of materials.
- Evaluate and monitor the environmental and social impact of the supply chine, promoting fair labor practices and reducing carbon footprint.
Resource Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities for reducing waste, conserving energy, and optimizing resources use within the company.
- Implement and manage initiatives to improve water and energy efficiency in manufacturing process.
Employee Engagement and Training:
- Educate and engage employees on sustainability issues and best practices.
- Organize training sessions and workshop to promote a culture of Sustainability within the organization.
Stockholder Engagement :
- Collaborate with internal and external stockholders, including customers, investor, and community groups, to promote Sustainability effort.
- Participate in industry forums , conferennc’s and partnerships to stay update on sustainability trends and innovations. Innovation and Continues Improvement
- Research and implement new technologies and practices to ensure sustainability performance.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into the companies sustainability strategies.
