Job Purpose:
The Manager/Deputy Manager – Distribution will oversee the efficient and effective distribution of products from our warehouses to various dealers and retailers across the country. This role involves managing the distribution team, optimizing logistics operations, and ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Distribution Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the distribution department, ensuring smooth and efficient product flow from warehouses to dealers and retail outlets.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize distribution processes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Coordinate with the sales and inventory teams to ensure product availability and timely replenishment.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the distribution team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Logistics Optimization:
- Work closely with logistics partners and transport providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Inventory Control:
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory movements within the distribution network.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure that all distribution activities are aligned with customer requirements and expectations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address any distribution-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring swift resolution.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards, transportation laws, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety within the distribution team, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on distribution performance, including KPIs, cost analysis, and service level metrics.
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in distribution operations.
