  • Age at most 45 years
  • Deep professional and technical understanding of Accounts, its diversification, and ways to adapt them as per the requirement of donor agencies;
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing, and working with audits, corporate taxes, VAT and other related local regulations.
  • Understanding of Government of Bangladesh financial, accounting and banking requirements.
  • Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;
  • Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills;
  • Advanced IT skills, MS Excel and strong familiarity with Tally ERP 9 software
  • Have outstanding skills and expertise in communicating by email and the internet.

Responsibilities & Context

***  Job Description:

  • Ensure all financial documents, including bills, receipts and payments are safely and securely filed according to organizational procedures;
  • Regular Banking correspondence, deposits and withdrawals, preparation of banking documents, and preserving bank-related documents daily i.e., Bank Reconciliation Statements, check book register, and any other Bank related documents;
  • Ensure that all vouchers and bills are approved by authority before preparation of debit (cash/cheque payment)/ journal voucher and writing cheque;
  • Ensure all financial transactions, including bills, receipts and payments are recorded as per projects requirement;
  • Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial reports as per organizational and donor requirement;
  • Regular financial follow up of livelihood and VSLA activities and periodically share with CDD;
  • Maintain Procurement process as per organizations procurement policy i.e., purchase requisition/ proposal, Quotation collection, Work Order, and purchase receipts.

    Safeguarding responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD’s Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

  • CDD is now recruiting for the mentioned position under the project titled, ‘Promoting regional approaches to inclusive and gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in South and Southeast Asia’ to be implemented with the support of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB). The duration of the project is till 31st August 2027.
