Position Overview:

The Officer, Distribution is responsible for coordinating and managing the distribution of our food and

beverage products from the production facility to various retail outlets, wholesalers, and customers.

This role involves overseeing the logistics, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining inventory accuracy, and

optimizing distribution processes to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Distribution Coordination:

– Manage daily distribution operations, including the scheduling and routing of deliveries to ensure

timely and accurate delivery of products.

– Coordinate with the production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure alignment on delivery

schedules and customer requirements.

– Monitor the status of shipments, resolve any issues that may arise during transit, and ensure delivery

deadlines are met.

2. Inventory Management:

– Maintain accurate records of inventory levels at distribution centers and ensure that stock levels are

sufficient to meet customer demands.

– Monitor product shelf life and coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock rotation and

minimize waste.

– Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies in stock records.

3. Logistics and Transportation:

– Coordinate with transportation providers to secure cost-effective and reliable delivery services.

– Ensure that all transportation activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and

company policies.

– Track and report on transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency

improvements.

4. Customer Service:

– Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding delivery inquiries, resolving any issues related to

order fulfillment and distribution.

– Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining open communication and providing timely updates on

delivery status.

– Work with the sales and customer service teams to address any distribution-related customer

complaints.

5. Process Improvement:

– Identify and implement improvements to distribution processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs,

and improve service levels.

– Analyze distribution data and trends to optimize delivery routes, reduce transit times, and improve

overall distribution performance.

– Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in logistics and distribution.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

– Maintain detailed and accurate records of all distribution activities, including delivery logs, inventory

reports, and transportation costs.

– Prepare and submit regular reports on distribution performance to the Distribution Manager.

– Ensure all distribution-related documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements and

company standards.

Qualifications:

– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a

related field.

– Experience: 2+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in

the food and beverage industry.

– Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office applications. Familiarity

with inventory management systems is a plus.

-Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage

multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

– Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

– Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve distribution-related

issues.

– Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing inventory and distribution records.
