  • Skills on capacity building, awareness, advocacy and networking·
  • Ability to organize training and advocacy events independently·
  • Ability to networking to influence and work with partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with partners·
  • Computer skill in MS-Office Application and using internet (e.g browsing, email, facebook, twetter, instagram, whatsapp, viber, imo, etc.)·
  • Ability to work under pressure, ready to take challenges and ability to motivate team members·
  • Report writing skills in Bangla (Bijoy), skills in writing report in English will be given preference·
  • The positions are based at divisional city, however required extensive visit to the district and upazila level.
  • Ability to ride motorcycle and should have valid driving license·
  • Age limit can be relaxed for highly experience candidate.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: Contractual

Job Responsibilities

  • Capacity building for Dalit Human Rights Defenders (DHRDs) and Dalit Community
  • Assist research team in the data collection process.
  • Mobilize Dalits community and assist them to form CSOs and CBOs
  • Monitoring project progress in the working areas and provide support to the DHRDs.
  • Organize awareness and advocacy events at upazila, district and divisional level.
  • Conduct fact finding of rights violation, atrocities against minorities and provide support as necessary.
  • Effective advocacy with govt. and non-govt. organizations to ensure social cohesion and access of Dalits to available services.
  • Visit to the project working areas as and when required.
  • Provide support to the project partner in implementing field level activities.
  • Ensure event reports and periodic programme reports on time.
  • Ensure activity wise data and reports to use as references.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with the implementing partners, stakeholders and government organizations·
  • Perform any other responsibilities assign by the Project Coordinator and NU management.
