Requirements

Education

  • MS in Agriculture from a reputable University or other related discipline is preferred.
  • 2 -3 years’ work experience under Agriculture based program position in renowned International or national organization.
  • Experience of supervising field staff required.

Responsibilities & Context

This is a project-based position. The Technical Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of capacity building activities for the Camp beneficiaries. The position holder will lead the conduct of assessment and training session , , BCC & IEC materials development, Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of the livelihood aspects of awareness and training programme. He must maintain a functional relationship with other team members and the organization’s other priority teams and units of the organization.

  • Support to develop project DIP (Details Implementation Plan), project implementation guideline & project staff’s work plan·
  • Lead the role to develop training module, facilitate the training to beneficiaries and facilitate staff’s capacity development initiative through meetings, training, workshops, and on-the-job training·
  • Provide day-to-day strategic and technical guidance and support to the project team members for quality implementation and facilitate the process monitoring·         Contribute to increase the food security of targeted households and the self-reliance of communities through the skill development training·
  • Be responsible for the technical person as implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the   programme.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and ToR and ensure that all tools and guidelines designed for project activities are in place and used properly.
  • Manage/Lead the   teams, including volunteers by designing detailed project work plans with clear division of responsibilities amongst team members, establishing clear objectives and monitoring progress and performance.
  •  Plan and ensure monitoring visits including baselines surveys and Post-distribution Monitoring systems.
  • Ensure quality data collection and management for project targeting and monitoring and follow up on indicator progress and achievements.
  • Maintain and develop collaborative relationships with different internal departments (HR & admin, procurement, logistics, finance, etc)·
  • Represent the Mukti Cox’s Bazar in  any meetings in which it is entrusted by her/his superiors.
  • Ensure that cross-cutting PSEA, Gender and protection concerns are considered for all planned interventions.
  • Ensure participation of the community in the implementation of programme and that complaint mechanisms are in place and used efficiently.
  • Provide a response in case of emergencies in the areas of intervention (Floods, fire,Cyclones, droughts, etc.). Identify areas where improvements can be made to increase impact, identifying and incorporating lessons learned in programme design.
  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the project work and performance of staff and take concrete steps to improve the job performance of staff·
  • Ensure and maintain close coordination and working relationship with the with district and upazila level government and NGO officials·
  • Ensure coordination with   CiC, Site Management, Camp Focal, and other stakeholders for activity implementation in the Rohingya community·
  • Ensure coordination between Mukti Cox’s Bazar and BRAC.
  • Convening the team on a regular basis to review programming, progress, successes, and challenges and make timely adjustments to the activities; and reporting back to BRAC and Mukti Cox’s Bazar·
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly reports, probation reviews, staff appraisals, and annual performance reviews; and provide regular constructive feedback to and coaching to develop their skills·
  • Identify areas where improvements can be made to increase impact, identifying and incorporating lessons learned in programme design.
  • Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program’s objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
