Responsibilities & Context
- Prepare project work plan and support in selection and functioning of WASH technological options for communities/schools/healthcare facilities in the flood affected intervention areas.
- Prepare detailed design and drawing of the selected new technologies at communities/schools/healthcare facilities considering the geo-hydrological situation and other important factors including the WASH programme/project guideline, local context, etc.
- Assist the procurement team at local offices and Field Engineers to procure quality materials by maintaining legal procedure of the organization and inspection of quality of each materials/service by the Field Engineer.
- Monitor & supervise the works for ensuring the quality of entire works and recommend for any modifications or corrective measures.
- Conduct field visit in regular basis to follow up and monitor the flood rehabilitation interventions and discuss the findings with the user’s group at sites.
- Support the Field Engineers to ensure the quality of water of the disinfected/repaired/new installed water supply technologies
- Prepare guideline/training module, organize and conduct training/orientation for plumbers/entrepreneurs/Mason and Sinker groups etc. on proper disinfection/ installation/construction of WASH facilities and sustainable O&M for caretakers, etc.
- Collect technical information on WASH technologies, prepare daily/periodic report and keep the record of the project document and any other related documents.
- Establish effective communication and coordination with different stakeholders for collecting updated WASH information and sharing the information on BRAC WASH project with DPHE, LGED, LGIs (Union Parishad, Pourashava), WASH Entrepreneurs, plumber/Sinker group/Mason, Suppliers, WASH Committees, Forums, etc.
- Reports any safeguarding issues (e.g. any kind of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse) that involve patients, team members and other stakeholders.
