Additional Requirements
- 12-15 years of experience in combination of separate roles in Production, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance and Admin functions. Incumbent with minimum 05 years of work experience as Head of Plant role and looking after minimum 40 lines woven manufacturing factory or more will be preferred.
- Certifications in areas such as Project Management (PMP), Human Resources (PHR, SPHR), Occupational Health and Safety, or Lean Six Sigma will be preferred.
Responsibilities & Context
Standard Group – MH is a leading Ready-Made Garments (RMG) manufacturer in Bangladesh, generating an annual revenue of $300 million and catering to international buyers across Europe and America. Within the company there are 7 Woven manufacturing plants & 2 Washing plants.The role demands a high level of adaptability, operational thinking, and excellence to manage the complex dynamics of a large workforce. Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, maintaining high safety & security standards, and fostering a positive work environment are critical to the success of this role. The Head of Plant must be prepared to handle crises especially Industrial Relation issues and unrest, managing community stakeholder undue demand, well establish working relationship with local law enforcement authorities, Labor directorate office, and support the company’s strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and efficient fulfillment of production demands, resulting in consistent on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, leading to measurable gains in operational efficiency and reduced cycle times.
- Optimize labor costs by ensuring effective workforce planning and utilization, achieving budgetary targets while maintaining high levels of employee performance and morale.
- Manage and reduce conversion costs by optimizing material usage and process efficiency, resulting in lower production costs without compromising quality.
- Control and reduce fixed overhead costs, including utilities, maintenance, and facility-related expenses, ensuring operations stay within budget.
- Ensure product quality and timely delivery to meet or exceed buyer expectations, leading to high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and transparent production environment that meets customer and buyer expectations during planned and unplanned visits, fostering trust and confidence in the factory’s operations.
- Ensure alignment and effective collaboration between key account managers, production, IE, and quality teams to deliver customer orders accurately and on time, resulting in seamless order processing and high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain plant facilities and security to support uninterrupted operations, resulting in a safe, secure, and compliant working environment.
- Manage labor relations effectively, ensuring minimal disruptions and fostering a stable, cooperative work environment.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, resulting in a fully compliant plant with no legal or regulatory issues.
