Responsibilities & Context
- Work in liaison with procurement for the purchase of products and materials to be acquired for meal preparation ensuring good quality.
- Involve in receiving ingredients required in kitchen.
- Ensure all ingredients for preparing food are in right supply on time.
- Develop and supervise preparation of menu, ensuring that kitchen staff execute the corresponding recipes.
- Support and facilitate control on food cost.
- Convey clearly any maintenance of kitchen equipment and other safety problems.
- Inspect and ensure best functioning of all kitchen equipment is as per given manufacturers instructions.
- Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels.
- Providing training to new staff members on kitchen standards to facilitate quick adaptation to Gildan culture.
- Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
